West Indian Girl is a lifestyle. In a genre unto its own, the band fuses psychedelia, classic rock, electronica and modern jam- layering it with smooth ambient textures that invoke positive feelings and remind listeners what is right in today’s music. Unique songwriting, consciously altering live shows and a universal crossover appeal has allowed West Indian Girl to rapidly gain a national following with fans of all ages.
Since releasing their debut album, the band has toured nationally both as a supporting act and as a headliner. Along the way, West Indian Girl has shared the stage with My Morning Jacket, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Fischerspooner, Phoenix, Turin Brakes, Of Montreal, Apples In Stereo, and others. The band has also become a presence in the festival scene playing the High Sierra Festival, San Diego Street Scene, and most recently the Sundance Film Festival & SXSW in 2007.
